Any Tsubasa fans? Come here!

Post by Spikebomb00 » Tue Oct 12, 2004 10:55 am

Alright, I don't know if I'm allowed to post Manga in the episode discussion but it kinda applies because you can use Manga for an AMV and Manga books are kind of like an episode. Plus I didn't have anywhre to post it. So if I'm not supposed to I'm really sorry. With that being said.

Are there any Tsubasa fans. It's a new manga by CLAMP and only has two books out as of right now but it's really cool and I like it. If anyone else does Reply. Tell me what you think of the characters, plot ,so on, so on, etc., etc.

Well I really love the plot The world jumping is really cool. I also like how CLAMP tends to use the same characters for different mangas (kinda like past lives) I think the art is very beautiful and the worlds are so detailed. I think this is on my favirote manga list (It's actually my only one on the list besides X/1999)

*raises hand up high*

Hell yeah! Tsubasa is becoming one of my favorite CLAMP series (along with xxxHolic of course  ). I thought the crossovers were pretty cool, and it tailors to most of the fans' wishes (like Sorata and Arashi being a MARRIED couple). 8-)

I still need to get volume 2 though.

Hey!!

I like the Tsubasa manga, but, of course, you know that already. (It's only your fault because I know about it and have read it.) I think some of the characters are a little...off. I like the plot, but the world jumping is a little confusing. But, the story is really good.

Well, I gotta go. :) Buh-bye!!!!
And so ends another episode of wasting time with Faye...

Tsubasa is fun. It's like a romp though a slightly askew version of everything CLAMP has done. I'm laughing hysterically at some of the little things they've put in (Volume 1, Page 166, bottom-right corner. Anyone else notice Miyuki?). And the plot so far is very interesting. I'm concerned about how long they're going to stretch it out, though, since there's so many potential worlds and an unknown number of feathers.

If they ever do animate it, I would absolutely die of adoration if they managed to bring back all the old voice actors to reprise their roles (made especially harder by the fact that at least some of them have retired from voice acting).

I've got an order in for the next few volumes (in Japanese) at Sasuga, so I'm looking forward to at least seeing the art for what's going on. I really need to learn more than basic Japanese so I can read them better.

I love that they made this crossover. I think it's cute and refreshing, especially for authors like Clamp who have an extensive variety of works. Really, a crossover like this is one of the things that they've left to accomplish.

Not to mention they're one of the few authors that can pull it off. I love the Mokona twins. And Shoaran's character is just awesome :P

Well I don't know how long the series is supposed to last but I do know that CLAMP is already working on a 5th book. The 3rd will be out in December. (I can't wait!)

I really hope they animate the Tsubasa manga, it would be sooo cool :D . But, yes, it would be amazing if they got all the old voice actors back to play the new voices.

Seven volumes are already out in Japan, with Volume 8 coming out November 17th. The US release of #3 is on October 25th, and #4 in early January 2005 (according to the ad in the back of xxxHolic #3).
