Why Gundam Seed was moved...
After episde 27, the story gets really bloody, with main charachter deaths, and basically deaths on the whole. The plot also progresses away from what it was in the first half to a deeper, "War is Hell" Apocolypse Now type of attitude.
Also theres no way to edit the Split Break arc, without ruining the story, so i'm pretty sure this is the reason why.
Anybody agree or disagree?

More like Bandai/Cartoon Network are slow ass and/or rushing things again.
They'll probably repeat the first half of the series until they get the license/dub becomes available just like they used to do with DBZ.
As for blood, editing it out never stopped them before.

So the influence of "Kill 'em All" Tomino has trully shown itself then.untouchable212 wrote:The plot also progresses away from what it was in the first half to a deeper, "War is Hell" Apocolypse Now type of attitude.

Just to check...you ARE aware this site technically doesn't advocate fansubs, right?
As for fansubs being what was intended to be the original anime...ummm...I wouldn't be too sure of that...(need we bring up the infamous Anime-Junkies 'Mass naked child events' incident?)
Besides...if you wanted the ORIGINAL original anime, you'd be wanting the raw versions, since the subtitles are, afterall, a fan's interpretation
Also, I'd say you're condeming far too much of the US anime market on the basis of what's on the air, which is really only a small portion of the whole. Some of those edits aren't even the decisions of the companies releasing them, rather they're the calls from the network that's airing it, so that the FCC doesn't fine them into oblivion.
Hell, chances are if it wasn't for the US companies, the fansubbing wouldn't be anywhere near as large as it is these days, since:
a) Many of the people involved in these got into them through the legitimate releases
b) Most fansubbers have a standard code of conduct: Only sub unlicensed anime...once a company licenses it, stand down.
In short...fansubs are neither the true anime or the best approach
