The significance/meaning of hands
what is the significance/meaning of hands ? I've seen them mentioned a few times in varios anime. The signs/writings in haibane-renmie (thiers also another reference to them, cant remember exactly) . The lines (shinji - Nobody loves me. So they should all just die Rei - Then what is your hand for? ) . The kaska comenting on griffins small hands in the later eppisodes of berserk. Their are probably other anime where the hand has bein used to push forward something. I also learnt last year in art class about a lady who would scupt the human hand in varios possitions. Am I looking too deep into this, or is thier something more which the human hand expresses ?

Not sure on the others but I think the Eva has something to do with either the hand of God or Adam (Da Vinci painting, I think). Either that, or his hand will save the world (If you want everyone to die, why do you have the hand that saves them?). New messiah type stuff (although I hate calling Shinji the new messiah, stupid pansy-assed cry baby).
