Any good recent shows?

All the shows or movies I've been watching recently are pretty old, the most recent coming out about 2-3 years ago so I was wondering if any of you could recommend any shows that came out recently. I'm pretty out of it when it comes to the "up-to-the-minute" animé scene so any help is appriciated.

I have but one pre-requisites however: The series cannot be ridiculously long. I'm the type of person who doesn't like to beat around the proverbial bush and I like my shows that way too. Shows that are 150+ eps and are crammed with filler with no definite point in sight just drive my patience/bore me to death/empty my wallet.

I like Azumanga Daioh (2001 if i'm not mistaken)
and Excel Saga... and Negima (Aired in Japan now)

I'm waiting for XXXHolic and Tsubasa Reservoir Chronicle.

Any particular genre you're interested? That might make your search a little bit easier.

I pretty much like anything, any genre is fine with me. Just as long as it's a show I haven't seen it's all good

I've had my eye on Azumanga Daioh for a while now. Just waiting for that complete box set...

For what it's worth, I don't like Negima that much. I honestly thought that the second episode was about to wrap up, and then the eyecatch came. Not a good sign.

Also, I must inform you that your .sig is entirely too large. From the forum rules:

Forum signatures shall have no greater total dimensions than 600 pixels wide and 80 pixels high or four lines of normal-sized text (font size 12). You may have multiple images in your signature, but no single image may exceed 600 pixels in length or 40 pixels in height. Any signature exceeding these total dimensions or any single image that goes beyond the aforementioned limits may be removed or altered without warning.

Check out LAST EXILE its a 7 disc set so its about average length. This one has a good story, great animation and some really good Van ship (like an airplane) chase/race portions that are VERY well done. I really liked this series and its brand spankin new!! The last disc just came out Dec 17, 2004. Give it a try I think you might like it.
