FMA Video Game?
I'm a huge Fullmetal Alchemist freak ok and I know the vid game is out for PS2 but I've heard so many different reviews about it. I'm not super into gaming but I did see the preview on www.square-enix.com/games/FMA and it looks kinda cool Should I rent first or straight out buy it? Anybody actually seen the game in action? Are the graphics and cut scenes really like the show? Thanks!

Well, I have the first one (something about an angel, IIRC). It's in Japanese so I don't understand the plot so well, but the cutscenes are animated exactly like the TV show, even though they don't show much. The ability to alchemize weapons is neat.
Overall the gameplay is very close to Kingdom Hearts, if that's your style.

Well I dont own the game myself but some of my friends do ...
You should rent it first, because I've heard only bad things about the game. It seems like its one of those "fast and cheap anime games" everybody knows.
Well I dont know but I guess you should rent every anime game first, because they are often not very good. (hey thats just my opinion

I own it and have beaten it. If you're a hgue fan of FMA (and of the dub) then you might enjoy this. I found it fun and the cut scenes were great. The story is pretty good (although I felt it moved too fast) and the dialouge can be witty.
However the game is in the 'Ok' catagorym I believe. It's fun to me just because its FMA and I love the characters. But it can be repetive and its short.
I can't recommend or not recommend this game for anyone. It largely depends on the person's fanbase for FMA, I think.
