has it been animated yet?? i heard from my friend it has been animated! i can't wait! ooh... what's the latest chapter for the manga??

Not yet, coming in April.

We already have a thread going for it here.

As for the manga, Volume 9 is coming Feb 17 in Japan, Volume 5 is coming April 25 in the US. I'm not sure how many chapters the serialized manga has run right now.
