Favorite Filler Episode

Post by Evangelion Unit 01 » Thu Feb 24, 2005 10:31 pm

Now, for the most part I really don't like filler episodes, but there are always some good ones every now and then. For me my absolute favorite is the last episode of Excel Saga. So, what is your favorite filler episode.

The beauty contest episode in Nadesico was great. For a filler it's probably one of the best, especialy if your a Ruri fan.

Well, I'm sure one could argue this has a point in the plot, since it was mainly filler

Big O, Act 18: The Greatest Villain

Reason: Afro-Beck ("Beck the Great RX-3...COMBINE!!!")

I forget what episode it was, I think it may have been 100 or sometin' but I really liked that one Naruto episode that had the joke going on "Worse, episode, EVER!!!" I don't think any other anime episode of any anime has ever made me laugh so freekin' hard.

I'd have to say the flashback episode of Kare Kano. The one that showed how Miyazawa's parents meet. Its actually my favorite episode if the series. Not having read the manga I'm not completely sure it is a filler episode or just a brief side story. Reguardless it wasn't really tied to the main plot.

GetBackers, episode 38 or 39
when Ginji is in the hospital, everyone comes to visit him but doesnt really "visit" him as they all are haivng misunderstanding fights and arguements.
Hiliarious non-stop, and of course, Akabane entrance in the very end!

Is that the one where Kakashi has to get the tape? I think that is 26, or something. I haven't actually watched past 50, though, since I read the manga, so it might be a different one.

It's not episode 26. It's way later on where Naruto, Sakura, and Sasuke want to see whats under Kakashis mask. I'm sure it's not in the manga.
