Disney release of The Cat Returns-your outlook on it
i was *thrilled* when Naussica, Cat Returns, and Porco Rosso were released recently. As of now i've only seen The Cat Returns, and i enjoyed it. I actually thought Haru's voice(Anne Hathaway) didn't fit and was too old for the character, but that's just me...so what did u all think?

I am hopping summer. Did you also here that they are realeasing Nausica in select theaters. I am excited.little*bunny*foofoo wrote:no kidding. i'd also like to see Whisper of the Heart and Only Yesterday on dvd sometime in the future. I also can't WAIT to see Howl's Moving Castle, does anyone have an idea when it will be released in the US?Now if only they'd finally release Totoro.
Now on to the topic of The Cat Returning Home. I thought the dubs were pretty good. They weren't bad enough for me to turn them off so that is a plus. The movie was little short compared to Nausica and Porco Rosso, and was as good as them in my opinion, but that still doesn't change the fact that it was still a pretty good movie with lots of cute cats .

oh, another quick ?, did Myazaki direct "Howl"? I thought he retired but I heard the first director quit and Myazaki took charge. is that true?
and yes, I also thought the dub was better than many series and movies. I think Disney does a purty good job dubbin. Spirited Away was AWESOME! For one thing I loved the fact that a young girl did the voice of Chihiro(spelling?) instead of an adult. Adults trying to do child voices practically splits my ears! Actually now that I think of it i'm gonna start a "worst dubs in anime" thread
