In the episode Honky Tonk Women......I don't get the part where Spike is at the Blackjack table. He's supposed to give Faye his last chip as a tip, and I know the chip has a microchip inside of it, but how does he know the last chip will be the one with the microchip in it? And also the thing about Poker Alice, is Faye Poker Alice? I mean....they say she'd about around 200 years old.....I mean, isn't that a bit unrealistic?

One more thing. I went up to a mall the other day and I saw a box set of all the Cowboy Bebop dvd's for $45.00 Canadian. I asked the store clerk and they said it was the original, but........does the box set really come that cheap? I mean.....each dvd is probably like 20 something bucks right there....it was a little too good to be true, but I don't know.

Spike wasn't supposed to give away his last chip. The other guy who looked like Spike was supposed to. The rest was just pure, scripted coincidence.

As for the DVDs being that cheap, it's possible. They could be used for one thing. Or, he's just had it on his hands for a long time and is just trying to get rid of them.

The entire series takes place on 6 DVDs. If there are less DVDs than that, you are getting a bootleg.

Yes, remember: 24-26 eps in 4 discs can be okay (Slayers, Fruits Basket, Ceres, Fushigi Yuugi re-release, etc.), but if you have that number in 3 discs, it's a bootleg. Of course, it's rather rare to see 26/4, it's usually 26/7-8. Hell, aside from Koi Kaze and some others like Seraphim Call and Sentimental Journey, I haven't even seen a 12-13 ep series in less than 4 . No North American distributor will ever do more than 7 eps on a disc (the FY bootleg, by contrast, has 10 eps on disc 4). See the sticky on this forum for more information.
