Best drawing guide?

Post by uppity_cracker » Mon Apr 04, 2005 7:22 pm

I'm still trying to perfect my drawing and I came across this book:

http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/de ... s&n=507846

In my opinion, I think its the best one I've seen. It gives in depth tutorials from how to draw a hand to what style of cover art you should have. What are your favorites?

I've found that Cristopher Hart has the best How to draw books.

My sister has alot of them, so I have taken looks through most of them, He's good.

The one to start with:
http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/de ... ce&s=books

Guide on genres of Manga:
http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/de ... ce&s=books

http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/de ... ce&s=books

A side reference, to expand styles:
http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/ASIN/ ... 65-8450222

I looked through this briefly at some store, it appears to be very good:

Of course the best thing to do is look through art books to get the basics, and look at Manga to see how pros do it, and last, but most important, make your own style, do not copy others work!
