Battle Angel
I recently downloaded a bit torrent of an anime called Battle Angel that I had never heard of before. It seems to be about a robot girl that someone found in a junkyard and gave skin to. There are no subs. Does anyone know what I'm talking about? It came in .mkv file format, with a .nfo file & a font pack. Are downloaded anime in this format available because someone is looking for someone else to translate and fansub them, or is it just accepted that people will be able to understand the Japanese and not need subs?
Also, is this title liscenced? A friend once said something about a dog being cut into cubes in an anime, and that happens in this, so I think it might be the same thing.

The manga is still available from Viz:
http://store.viz.com/browse/BATTLEANGEL ... s.3tmDQ8ao
The tape is listed at Ebay for about $4. The DVD is being bid up to $94. (Wonder what I'd get for my laserdisc copy?)

Good news, I found it at the right stuff for $26. That seems reasonable, and I believe I heard that they are legit.
