Kare Kano manga

Does anybody know if the manga for Kare Kano goes on beyond the anime series?

The televisions series was going to continue following the manga, but there was a disagreement with its author and creator. The television series was abruptly ended with a single season and stories that they intended for the second were never made. It has been a depressing and sore point for those at Gainax for some time.

I knooooow. I would've LOVED to see the play animated.

But yeah, the manga defintely continues, and I agree with whoever said it, read it now. It's INSANELY tense and kick ass!
