an INTELLIGENT discussion about Yoai... you;re asking for the impossible, man - getting fangirls to actually have a meaningful discussion about Yaoi is like getting fanboys to have a reasonable discussion abouy shoujo-ai; unless you remove the hormones, 'tain't gonna happen.

I've had quite a few friends (including a Women's Studies professor or two) who are more than capable of having intellectual discussions on yaoi/yuri, etc. Don't make overreaching stereotypes just because you have hang-ups about homosexuality

It's called a joke, man; I just ment, JOKINGLY, that girls usually go gaga for Yaoi the way guys do Yuri; I've hung out with enough girls at Otakon to know that's true; sorry I was trying to be a little sarcastic...

Believe me, when you have more girls as friends than guys, and 95% make a b-line towards the Yaoi stands at Otakon, you get the idea that they go crazy for it like guys do for the girl-on-girl stuff.

And btw: hang-ups about homosexuality? I've been involved in theatre for the past five years - I've been friends with at least 10 homo- and bi-sexual people, and I've got nothing against them, and I have NO idea where you got the idea that I have a hang-up about gays, save that I made a joke that Otaku women typically go crazy whenever guy-on-guy is around. Again, sorry I made a perfectly harmless joke that somehow managed to offend someone.

Yaoi is... strange? lol I saw a Yaoi video once and both of the guys looked like chicks with very flat chests, the only difference was they were buffish.

I have to agree EmilLang1000. I've seen yaoi threads on other forums and it makes me wonder where all those years of human evolution have gone.
The threads are either about yaoi pairs, similar to the vs. threads that have been banned here, or they're just shout outs from different fangirls about how much they love yaoi.

And if you girls want to get your wank, be in a look out for Sensual Pornograph. I heard that one of the episodes includes a bishie who's all naked and chained. And there's another episode where these two male manga artists start getting their wack off with each other. To me, that makes no sense because one of the male manga draws yuri. WTF?!!!
