Anime with a REALLY good love story?

Post by overlyused » Wed Nov 02, 2005 10:40 pm

I want some anime with a really good love story... Not just the "typical" anime romance... Like... I wanna watch something that really touches you. Like you really feel for the characters and can relate to them. I hate those love stories that are just ALLL happy times, cause real love isn't like that... Anyway, it'd be nice if someone gave me some suggestions :)

(One of my fav romantic animes, is chobits.)
"...What were you guys doing? Sucking tongue or something?"
Psycohol: Hey, how ya feelin'?

Me: I smell biscuits.

School Rumble (Harima loves Tenma who loves Ooji): great characterizations, though, I love Harima's character, he really agonizes.

Marmalade Boy is like a typical soap opera love story. heh heh, not to turn you off of it, but my mom LO-OOVES to watch MB. Got the manga, too.

Petite Cossette.

Ayashi no Ceres, it's a love story with good and bad times.
Millenium Actress, this is a love story where the people in love never connect with each other, very interestingly done.
Voices of a Distant Star, only thirty minutes but an incredably wonderful and sad story.
The Place Promised in our Early Days, another great story by the people that did Voices.
Once Upon a Time, another nice love story, star crossed lovers, sort of a Romeo-Juliette thing.
Sakura Diaries, a funny, sexy, forbidden love story.
Where did you say I'm going?.... And what am I doing in a handbasket?

The RahXephon manga. IIRC, it came close to making me cry.
It's nothing like the anime, but it's really well worth the read.

Also, the Kare Kano manga is awesome. The only reason I'm not including the anime is because it ends too soon.

Spirited away. It's not really a romance in the traditional sense but there is a really deep sense of love and emotion.

I would say inuyasha but thats a little much on the "bad time" (SIT BOY)
Everything came from nothing, therefore everything is nothing.

There's nothing to worry about.
