New anime series

Post by doodad64 » Fri Dec 23, 2005 9:50 pm

Hey people I have a new series idea and was wondering if anyone was interested in helping me with it. I have about 50 pages written and about 30 episodes. I know i have to rewrite it because it doesn't have very much dialouge because of the way i wrote it. I wrote it just to explain the story line and what happens in each episode. So i'm asking for any information that could help me like how to submit it to a studio or something to see if they like my idea and stuff like what format to write it in, how much i should send and so on.

If anyone is interested in the actual series it is like a cross between Air, Magic Teacher Negi, and somthing like Bleach. I know there are more series that mine is similar to but i can't think of them right now.

Please help, I have no idea how to go about getting my idea on the screen as an actual anime show. That would be sweet.

Oh, another one of these...

Well, my best advice for you would be to either have around $20 million laying around that you can invest in your own low-budget studio, or many well established connections in the anime industry (it would also help if you didn't have any pesky expectations that your name will appear anywhere on the result or that you'd receive any sort of money for the idea at all).

I was actually being serious and was asking if there is a company website for a studio or something that accepts freelance stuff like this.

How about this. Should I try to wirte it as a novel or really try and get it made into an anime. I know i have some high expectations from this but it may go nowhere or might be a best seller, i don't know.

Even if you're very lucky, there are a few things you have to make sure of first:

Do you speak and write fluent Japanese?

Do you have contacts in the industry?

Are you, yourself, Japanese?

As in any business, being on the inside usually is the only way to secure anything as ambitious as you are looking at.

Theoretically he could do the animations with MS Paint and AviSynth (unlikely)..

...or he could do what the guy who created Hoshi no Koe did (even more unlikely)...
