Is the Newtype mag it worth the 80$ for a subscription?

I just saw an ad for the NewType magazine on an anime I received for Christmas. I was kind of wondering if it was worth the 80$ to get a year subscription or if it would be better just to spend that money on more anime?

You get an ep or 3 of anime with each mag, plus the mag itself. So yeah, $80 for a yearly subscription is pretty good, unless you dont read then the mag is useless to you and your just another satanist contributing to the genocide of out forests.

It's definitly worth the money. I've been a subscriber since the first issue. It's given me some of the best insight on what to buy, mainly because it reveiws anime that is both in the US and the one that are only in Japan.

Actually, almost all paper used for printing nowdays is grown on tree farms. That's why recycling paper is really a waste of time; it takes more money/energy to recycle paper than it does to simply burn it and harvest a new tree from a tree farm. Plastic on the other hand... that's important.

NewType is a decent piece of work. It's Newsstand price of $10 an issue is a bit high, so subscription is a very good idea if you like it.

Well I think 80 bucks is alot,I mean you can a thick manga(shojo beat) ever month for only $30!!

Yes, but that doesn't come with 12+ episodes of anime.

It may have been worth it back in the days before the Internet, but you're better off with anime news sites. By the time the magazine shows up it will all be old news. Then again it may be a good idea since so many people don't know how to do research online.
