Buwahahah I shall bring purpose to this once hated thread!

All fullmetal alchemist fans and such. What about FMA makes you like it so much? What sets it apart from so many others?

Personally it's the vivid characters that do me in. I mean sure it doesn't have fancy weapons and such but who wouldn't want to do alchemy?

As for back on topic. I enjoy for the above reason as well. Mixxing realistic living with a type of magic that seems more reasonable that most other explained magics is really entertaining. They pulled it off very well in my opinion. I just wish they followed the manga a bit more closely.
