While I'm happy to see that this anime is coming to the states (and I wouldn't mind popping it on TV somewhere) I totally dread the dubbing, and the music translations

Viz has a habit of not translating and subbing songs (especially from OP and ED sequences).

Actually, as much a role as music plays in this particular series, I can see them attempting to dub the songs to pick up more of an American audience, and for better hope of a TV deal. I still dread the dubbing that is bound to happen, I did so love this series

I was hoping for Funimation, but it's not too surprising since Viz has the manga. I wrote a lovely little letter to Viz's online contact thing about song translations; you can read it here. I hope Viz realizes that if they stick to their normal habits, fans might stick to versions that have translations. I'll keep the ANN post updated if I hear anything back from them.
