I hope the live action evangelion movie does good. The special effects buget is $100,000.

Yeah, someone posted this a couple weeks ago. From the trailer it looks like it could be sweet but I would try to compare it to the Eva movie since this is Japanese made and doesn't have a crazy effects budget.

Still I think it will be good. I'm thinking the Eva movie will suck though.

Ep 5 and 6 and the angel from that ep will be in the movie. That ep will have some crazy special effects in it.
Here are some concept posters. They are planning ot release it in the US also. And are looking for a 2006 release date. But it could be anywhere to 2009 also.

You can see in this pic that there are real people in place of the animated shinji, asuka , and rei. I know the pic is small. its all i could find.

No doubt the effects will be amazing. I just think that the story won't translate well to live action, and they'll definately change alot to try to make it work.

But thanks for the poster I haven't seen that before.

The tagline is surprising. "The end is here" seeing as the movie is only the first set of eps from the series and will most likely (if it makes enough money) have sequels.

Thats what the director said. That if it does good that a sequal will be in order.
He also the story might be dummbed down for the audience that has a short attention span and cant make sence of the story.

As long as its not such a drastic change then I will be happy.

But it gonna take a while before its converted to english so you will havwe better luck looking a subbed edition of the movie.
