i got a question..
i just finished watching the escaflowne series. was wondering is the movie a condensed version of it, or is it separate?

No, there are three versions of Escaflowne: The Manga version, the Anime, and the Movie. The Movie and the Anime are pretty similar in some respects, whereas the Manga is way out in left field compared to the show.

Technically four. There are two manga versions; The shonen version (which is REALLY out of whack. While the anime and movie are somewhat simliar, they aren't similiar enough. The movie has beautiful animation, but the plot is so so while the show has okay animation but a great plot.
