End of Eva & MGS 2 endings ?

I was watching end of eva and I noticed that the endings for both series was somewhat similar to Metal Gear Solid 2.
Not that everbody dies but all the stuff about realality. Where do I belong and such.
Both the game and the movie have live action sequences near the end.
Expalaing about reality and you have a purpose in this word.

Could it be possible that hideo kajima saw end of eva and used parts for the game ?

What do you think ?

I know it.
I was watching end of eva and it kept reminding me of metal gear solid 2 ending just like you.

If you ever notice psych themes and questions of reality are pretty popular among certain anime.

Here are a few that bend reality: Serial Experiments Lain, Ghost in the Shell, EVA, .Hack/Sign, etc.

As for games there are: Xenogears, Xenosaga, and .Hack again.

It would not surprise me. Kojima is a big fan of EVA if I remember correctly. (I get a lot of game magazines.)

I would have to do some resaerch to see if he is a big fan.
He probably did see the show and movies back in '97 in japan.
Aroung the time mgs1 was released.

Yeah. You have to pick apart what is happening and what is happening in people's heads.

Especially the level that looks like VR.
