Two new anime premieres on Adult Swim!

Post by angelx03 » Thu Mar 30, 2006 3:37 pm

Source: Media Week
In a bid to bolster programming for its expanded animé block, which now includes three weeknight premieres at 12:30 a.m., Adult Swim has locked in two representatives of the genre with Eureka Seven (out April 15) and Bleach (out fall 2006). It also returns InuYasha to its Tuesday night slot.
There you go Bleach fans; it WON'T be butchered nor edited so you don't have to worry about a thing. Now we'll see who dubs it (which could be either Studiopolis or the Ocean Group).

And for Eureka 7, it's a 50 episode long series by BONES (who did that rather ridiculously, but very good popular series Fullmetal Alchemist plus some other high quaility series like RahXephon and Wolf's Rain). And it has SURFING MECHS! You can't go wrong with surfing mechs!!!!! :o

Bleach, I'll be frank, I can take or leave...but Eureka 7 I'm looking forward to...heard a lot of weird stuff about it, which, naturally, has me more intrigued...

And if all goes well, I'll get to see Bleach on YTV in what... two years?

Inu Yasha is supposedly nearing its end so it makes sense Bleach is replacing its time slot.

I finally get to see Bleach.
The best effects are the ones you don't notice.

I'm not a big fan of Bleach (though the art is nice i guess..). Eureka 7..just the fact it has Mech's in it pushes me to wonder if they are gonna screw up by putting it and Bleach on TV... Then again, Eureka 7 was made by BONES, who created two of the best anime of all time - Fullmetal Alchemist and Wolf's Rain - so we'll see i guess..

It's nice to know we'll be getting a small change though. I've already seen all of IY, but i feel sorry for those who haven't (the Japanese version is SO much better too..), but i don't have control of AS, so yeah.. > >

I doubt they're gonna stop playing Inu-Yasha altogether; it's probably just going to be permanently on Tuesdays; or at least until the raitings drop enough for it to be pulled completely.
