FMA English voices ughhh......
MAN IT SUCKS... Jesus listening to Al talk on the english version of FMA is really hard..... He really sounds like he is a noob at it. He speaks without any expression. Its really anouying. Or it might just be that I'm so used to the japanese Al.

Though in actuality, the English VA who did Al is really just a kid. He does massively improve in later episodes I can assure to you that. I'm actually glad FUNi did that casting choice because after finding out that Rie Kugimiya who does Al's voice also does Shana's voice in Shakugan no Shana, and that just shattered my image (yeah, I know there are reasons for female VAs doing little boys' roles, but still).

After Season One, FUNi realizes that FMA is freakin popular and decided not to half ass the dub and put some effort into it, which shows... a lot and that's great... because at the end of the series I prefered the American dub over the Japanese.
And hell, that scream Roy's VA delivered at the end of the series > Roy's Japanese VA.
Nuff. Said.

Uh, I believe FUNi already knew that FMA was popular so that's why they licensed it in the first place (after mustering enough money to get it of course).Ladymercury wrote:After Season One, FUNi realizes that FMA is freakin popular ....
Dubs tend to improve over time once the VAs get used to their characters; that I'll agree with.
