I just got FF7: Advent Children, and it's still the best movie I've ever seen!!! So, anyway, I was just wondering what everyone else thought about Square-Enix maybe making another FF movie, and which FF to do the movie on if you think they should.
I personally would like to see a FF 8 movie... Squall is the best (after Cloud of course).
And yes, if you think Kingdom Hearts should have a movie, I count KH as a Final Fantasy Game.
Should ther be another CG Final Fantasy movie?... what one?

I'd like another original storyline FF movie like The Spirits Within, but that actually has something to do with the franchise, unlike The Spirits Within.
Of course, I don't see that ever happening, after The Spirits Within being one of the biggest bombs in film history, losing Square over $100,000,000 and effectively bankrupting Square Pictures. I just don't think Square will ever attempt such a feat again, unless it's something they know the fans will eat up...like all these billion FFVII spinoffs that are being made.

heres why an ff8 movie wouldnt be good.
A: theres a lot of broken story.
2: theres lots of random story
d: Squall thinks to himself way to much, half the movie would be nothing but people staring at him as he thinks.
if they were to do an FF8 movie heres what they would have to first cut out.
-everything about the gardens (they are pointless to the story.)
-everything about the GF's stealing your memories (that shouldnt have even been in the game, they just needed a cheap twist to show they were all connected when they were really young, frankly that was pretty stupid to begin with.)
- any supporting cast member (that doesnt include anyone who is on your team but does include Cid, Edea, Ellone, Adel, Laguna, Kiros, Ward, General Cathaway and so forth) They wouldnt be needed, you would have to go straight into them knowing about Ultemicia other wise the movie would get too long.
-Any backstory from any of the 6 main characters. once again the movie would get too long and boring if the characters background was explained.
you would have to go into the whole laguna being squalls dad and julia being Rinoas mom and how even though laguna and julia were never able to be together their children were.
-any trace that Ultemicia is in fact a future version of Rinoa who goes crazy when Squall dies of old age and eventually falls into insanity and cant live with out him. they really didnt make it that clear in the game, they probably wont make it that clear in the movie.
-the whole "time compression thing" i dont even know where to start with this. "Ultemica is the only one who could survive time compression, so lets go into a time compressed world and kill her."
-Zell. he has no reason to be there.
-Selphie. She has no reason to be there.
-irvine. He has no reason to be there.
-Quistis. She has no reason to be there.
-all of the gfs. they would only be in the movie as eye candy anyways.
so where does that leave us.
with squall, Rinoa and Seifer, a crappy love triangle, and some cool battle scenes.
the biggest twist of the movie, and this is only if you keep in the fact that rinoa is ultemcia in the future, is that while rinoa fights with squall, seifer fights with "rinoa" which technically makes her a two-timing harlot.
and thats my two-cents.

...and, yeah, I guess ff8 does have it's flaws (thanks for making me not like one of my favorite games anymore... lol), but GFs weren't really a factor in the ff7 movie, so I think we should basically exclude them from all Final Fantasy motion pictures.
By the way, is anyone else sick off ff7 stuff, I mean, it all looks cool, and AC is great, but they are really neglecting the other ffs. I know 7's most popular, but how bout making some other stuff... or maybe a new FF game that doesn't suck?
