Best chasing scene in an anime?
Anyone know of any animes that have bewildering chase scenes?
Something fast and well-made, like Akira.
Any kind of chase or rundown... as long as it gives off a nice rush feeling.
Races work too, as long as it has the same kind of high.

That was pretty cool. Cowboy Bebop has a few decent ones throughout the series, and there's a really goodl one in the movie too, IMO. I've just started watching Initial D, and although I don't really like it so far, the raceing does feel pretty intense.Super Shanko wrote:Gunsmith Cats.
A few car chases, and one where the girls are running from some badass Russian assasin that has a nice finish.

^^ The chasing scene in Lupin III Castle of Cagliostro in the beginning was the first thing that came to mind when I read the toipic.Willen wrote: Also, a lot of Studio Ghibli movies have good scenes like Laputa Castle in the Sky and Porco Rosso. This may not be anime but It is the single best Chasing scene as far as animation goes and it is in Southpark. Its between Cartman and Stan (i think) when Stan is gonna stop Cartman from getting family guy off the air. They chase eachother on (dunno the name in english) those baby bicykles with three wheels. And it is done as a parody on any hollywood car chasing scene there is. It was so bloody right on spot that I had to mention it. Think its the thirs episode on season 10. 2 ep's after the last ep with chef.

Even though it isn't.... high speed flying action, the chase when Ryoko and Ayeka leave their job to find Tenchi, or who they thought was Tenchi... was.... heart thumping. The heavy drums in the background added to the desperation of the girls which had me
Cowboy Bebop: KoHD, the dogfight scene. Come on, with a senseless un-needed dogfight and hot, 1970s funk jazz as a background music... its bound to be awesome.
