Last unicorn

Post by Mark_Arandjus » Sat Jun 24, 2006 3:40 pm

Is it just me or is The last unicorn missing from the Anime list?
I know it's a merican, but it's anime.
And a good one too.

I watched that movie lots of times as a kid.

Anyway I wanna add it to my fav and I don't think it's on the list :S

This is an oxymoron.

Just because a cartoon is realistically drawn doesn't make it anime. The Last Unicorn's about as anime as Mickey Mouse. Sorry, man.
Be non-conformist! (Everyone's doing it!)
I guess Max Payne isn't much of a yaoi fan...

If you called it anime then you'd probably end up calling countless disney animations anime as well... so I can see why it's not in the list. Although to be honest I see "the last unicorn" and "flight of the dragons" as sort of halfway point between disney and anime.

"The Last Unicorn" was animated in Japan. By Japanese people. And Mickey Mouse has learned to speak Japanese lately too, unless you haven't played Kingdom Hearts.

It's also no kids movie. It's been marketed and packaged as such, but it tackles some deeper issues. Maybe you saw it as a kid, watch it again now, see if you have a different appreciation for it. Find the hidden meanings of things. Stay tuned at the very least for the beautiful music and one of Christopher Lee's best performances.
Making an amv, is rather like being the director of a Broadway show, where you have a million dancers and each of them only knows one step.
