Say hello to Lucky☆Star (and sorry, there are no Haruhi nor Full Metal Panic sequels yet)!

It's based on a 4-panel manga serialized in Comptiq. Here are a few manga covers:

More information can be found here, but it's pretty much your basic high school comedy similar vein to Azumanga Daioh. But according to the Wiki entry, some these girls seem to be hardcore gamers. That's something you don't see everyday!

Kyoto Animation is going to work on this around Spring of 2007 so it's basically after they're done with the Kanon remake.

Hmm... strange. "Lucky Star" is spelled with hiragana instead of katakana. Does that seem strange to anyone else?

I might have to check out this series too... but I would definitely prefer to see the next FMP novel animated... mmmm, Tessa in a maid's outfit.

Well maybe 'demand' is too strong a word. I would really like to see Haruhi and FMP sequals, but I'm a patient man, I can wait.

I'd rather wait for a quality sequel of TMoHS or FMP!/? than a rush job or something with a bunch of filler.

As for this new series, it seem somewhat different than the stuff that they have been producing recently. Well, aside from the strong Moe factor and otaku culture. Might be a nice change.

Actually the first half of FMP:TSR was all filler.

There's actually more than enough story to make another season already.

The first season was the first 3 novels put together, TSR was the two "Owaru Day by Day" novels plus fillers, and there are 3 novels already published that take place after "Owaru Day by Day".
