Anime on Foresnic Files

I was watching an old episode of "Foresnic Files" just now. The name of the episode was "Frozen Evidence" and the air date said it was back in 2001.

What caught my eye was when they were talking about the robber/shooter had held a piece of wood he used to gain entry into the building. It showed a reinactment of the incident and a guy in a mask holding a board and grabbing a bag from the closet of the victim.

On the front of the page was a piece of paper attached. On that piece of paper was what appeared to be anime/manga characters. Two of them. It's kinda hard to see and I'm SOOO gonna have to try and get a video of the scene.

I am 90% sure it was a picture of anime characters that was attached to the bag.
