4Kids...no longer dubbing One Piece?!
Great news all of you One Piece fans! It was apparently confirmed that 4Kids has officially stopped dubbing One Piece. Rejoice everyone, it looks like we may finally see the series dubbed as it was meant to be!

Like most of the people on KF's forums, I highly doubt that any company would touch the series now that it has "failed." If the 1 in a million chance did occur, there's no reason to expect significant changes to the way 4kids did it. They fucked up the character development and created a minimal fan base that is comprised of little kids whoose parents would go apeshit if they found out just how much blood and "mature content" was in the series - they couldn't change what had already taken place, most likely wouldn't invest the money in redoing the entire thing from the begining.
A potential liscenser could do something I don't think any past company has ever tried before and simply release the entire series sub-only. It's the only way they could get a return on minimal investment that I could see...

i think Funi wanted this too at one point when they were trying to acquire Detective Conan. either Viz or Funi is fine with me. if Viz gets it hopefuly theyll treat it like Naruto and just cut only a few things and not hacking it up to hell and back. if Viz gets it were most likely to see box sets of it sooner then with Funi.HyperTails wrote:Must've missed the other topic when I was skimming through it. >_>
Bashar, I think Viz is actually trying to pick it up.

i believe the City Hunter series was released entirely subtitled with the exception of the movies and Tekkaman Blade is also being released subtitled.A potential liscenser could do something I don't think any past company has ever tried before and simply release the entire series sub-only.
