This question only for the Anime fans who fall in love to any of the Anime characters.

I would argue against that, but alright.Proud ASIAN wrote:

What do you mean 'fall in love'?
I personally find the suggestion that love = infatuation with a fictional character with whom there is an impossibility of a) sexual contact; b) a relationship rather silly and to some extent offensive.
I found this thread a lot more practical since it was far more based around 'what if'

As far as the topic...
I think any character can be realistic - but we need to distinguish between realistic and real.
For me, I can't say I felt anything strongly for an anime character other than sympathy; and what makes me sympathetic towards anime characters is the same as any other characters: their situations and ways of dealing with them strike off a good note with me.
In terms of attraction, I'd attribute it to character designs, but I think generalization here is useless: there are as many crappy and unattractive designs I can't even so much as look at for extended periods of time as there are good ones. For the good ones, it's always been the quality of art and a good characteristic representation. There's a myriad of reasons for any individual character design that I'd rather not get into.
The Birds are using humanity in order to throw something terrifying at this green pig. And then what happens to us all later, that’s simply not important to them…

Starting from their hair into their finger foot are realistic to me especially their attitude such as when they crying, shy, embarasse, etc. I have many reason but the most reason I have are that. The Origonal Head Hunter wrote:I love big boobs and big fight scenes mostly, what first drew me to anime
and how are anime characters realistic, if I may ask?

A little on the grainy side though.Niotex wrote:People often fall in love with my Molly. Isnt she cute?
To treat the topic semi-seriously:
Anime chicks are often intentional designed to be the 'ideal woman'. OMG is probably the most obvious case in point. It's not unusual that people would fall for them, that's exactly the effect the anime makers go for. Although japanese female ideals and americas are far enough apart that I wonder how much of that works on American viewers.

Since I just found this thread, i dont really have a good answer for myself, the best way for me to describe falling in love with a character is simply is something im sure we've all heard, Alot of people are straight mean and can be a complete jerk, when someone see's a particular character even though they have a companion, it's not particularly the character themself(at least me), but the kind of character they are, from everything from courageous to sarcastic, while the people around said person that dont think like the said person just see boobs and/or big eyes.
Life is but a dream.....So what happens when you wake up?
