Ever Spoiled? [SPOILERS POSSIBLE...duh]

Post by V_Translanka » Thu Mar 20, 2008 5:18 am

So far I've managed to spoil several of the most popular anime series out there for myself: Cowboy Bebop, Samurai Champloo & Naruto. They were ALL my own damn fault, mind you, but still...

Cowboy Bebop - My friend had a few random DVDs of it so I decided to watch 'em. I think by this time I had already seen a couple middle eps & the movie. Unfortunately, I thought that there HAD to be more than 6 or 7 DVDs (he owned like 5-7 or w/e the last ones were) so I ended up pretty much watching the end of the series first...Very strange experience to watch something like that backwards. I still think there should be some kind of "Whakky Misadventures of Ed & Ein" spin-off anime though as Ed was my fav character (& one of my fav characters of all time period).

Samurai Champloo - Pretty much the same problem, tho it was my bro's burnt copies and they weren't labeled very well...Though I should have payed attention to the menus cause they SAY which number you're watching...V_V Anyways, I ended up watching them find the Sunflower guy or w/e...To my stupid credit while I watched it I WAS wondering why they were finding him so soon in the series...but I figured it would just stem off into something else, I swear!

Naruto - This one was basically from watching too many of the AMVs before watching much of the series itself...I'm actually still only up to ep 80 or something ridiculous like that...So spoiled most of the big fights...especially the Naruto/Sasuke stuff...and spoiled the Sasuke thingy too...

SO...In closing, I'm just wondering...Anyone else as stupid/unfortunate as myself? Am I completely alone on this? I think it gave me a slightly deeper understanding of Cowboy Bebop than I might have had if I had watched it through normally, though no more than if someone just watched it twice...but w/e...I still haven't seen the middle eps of Samurai Champloo either, actually...

P.S. I always get antsy making my first thread in a forums...hope this isn't in the wrong area or anything...I noticed old threads get locked, so...yeah...*shrugs* I figured I wasn't stepping on any of the same threads' toes...

Someone spoiled the end of Lucky Star for me...

I mean, I didn't think Konata would die.

I haven't finished watching it, but just knowing that... it's so sad.

I've wanted to watch considerable numbers of anime simply from exposure to them in amvs.

Without the amv, might have never heard of them.

As for spoiled, nah, not really.

I do usually refuse to watch anything in other than the right sequence though.

But seeing an ending by mistake, well has not happened yet at least.

I spoiled Death Note for literally EVERYONE I KNOW. :P :jester:
I also like to spoil Bleach and Naruto for those who don't read the manga, but do watch the anime.

I convinced one of my previous roommates that Inu-Yasha dies at the end, so he refused to watch the last episode.

My uncle wrote:Hey, you know that new film, Cliffhanger? You seen it yet? No? Cuz I just saw it and I can't believe this, I mean, it won't spoil it, but they try to save this girl at the beginning of the film. She's stuck on a mountain and they try to save her, and it's not important so don't worry it won't spoil anything. But that girl, she dies!

AUUUUUUUGH!!!!

*headdesk*

Man, just when I was thinking about getting into the series, I go and spoil it for myself (Which, ironically, would be the very purpose of this thread <.<;). X______X I can't watch it knowing what will happen now . . .
