In almost every anime there is atleast one moment that makes you go: "wow", "Damn!", "awesome" or even "thats so romantic". I was just wondering what was your favorite moment in your favorite anime. This covers stuff like a punch that you almost feel or a romantic scene that makes your heart just go crazy and so on. I would say that my favorite romantic moment is when Ifurita ran towards Mokoto at the end of the series. No matter how many times I see it, it still has a heart warming effect to it. My favorite moment over all is probably when Shinji finds out that Suzuhara was the pilot of eva unit 03, all the building up during the two episodes was just released and you could just feel the shock and horror shinji experienced. So how about you guys what is your favorite anime moment?

No contest, the flashback in Fruits Basket episode 8. I've watched that damn scene so many times, and it still gives me the chills. The camerawork, the emotion, the movement.. the sound of Akito's voice, the tears running down Hattori's face. It is simply the most powerful scene I have ever witnessed in any anime I've ever watched. ...EVER!

Also, on the other end of the spectrum, is Gai's death in Nadesico. What a dumb death scene... It's like, we have Gai, the ultimate proponent of glorious battle and dramatic death scenes... and he gets shot in the back.

Ironic, funny, and completely anticlimactic... I am sure that's EXACTLY the way they planned it

on that note: "Gai noooooooooooooooooooo! Im sorry Miss Nanoko." I still cant believe they killed Gai in the freakin 3rd episode. Gai was like my favorite character and he was shot and just fell over dead. -_-

Well, in that first episode of Pokémon, the scene with the Spearow coming down on Ash and Pikachu. For some reason that's always been my fav part of the series. Just the whole darkness lightning, and the type of sacrifice...

And in Jin-Roh: The Wolf Brigade, I thought the part after the guy admited he was a wolf. You know, she thought she was betraying him, but in reality he was using her. When suits up, I loved it. So serious and all.

I have a couple:
The Ranma OAV scene where ranma the three sisters and shampoo sing a song together at a Christmass celebration. That is awsome.
Next *****spoiler**** Onegai Teacher, when you find out that those two character had sex in that really shady scene early on (its not Mizuho Sensei, thats later.)
As for my favorite scene of all: The OMG manga, Childhoods End story arch, when Belldandy is talking to Keichi about Skulds self sefficiency. Ive read this specific story arch over 20 times, and every time, at that particular scene I cry. The quote is: "You always find your true path on the far side of suffering. And you can... you must get there by yourself." And with that I always break down sobbing. The greatest scene in an anime/manga EVER.

The ending of Princess 9

The scene in Cowboy Bebop when Faye remembers her past in the shower

The last 3 minutes of 5 seconds of End of Evangelion

and the moment in Laputa when the robot first activates.

Spoiler warning for Trigun

In Trigun where Wolfwood has all but come to terms with the fact he knows death is upon him. He seems peaceful and thankful to those who have touched his life. But in the last moments of his life he is gripped by fear and regret that death has come for him. No one is there with him and as alone as he is, in death he'll be more alone than ever in his life. Fear of the unknown and of leaving everything you know behind. I feel that is how it is for all of us and it leaves me speechless and very sad.

Eva: Shinji's relationship with Karou
Kenshin OVA: Either when his sister pulls him back or when Tome (?) Gives him the cross shaped scar
Wicked City: 3 way demon rape
Pokemon the Movie: When pikachu is shocking the shit out of stone Ash (CLEAR!!)
Lain: When Lain's 'sister' fades into nothingness.
Dragon Ball Z: Gohan going SSJ for the frist time
Angelic Layer: Reunion of Misaki and her Mother
