Hmm... so how about a website for buying imported manga. You know, the stuff that hasn't been licensed and is in the Japanese language.

I'm not sure, but I wouldn't suggest a website; Barnes & Noble or Borders and Waldenbooks are you're best option. Either that, or find the company that publishes the comics, the three big ones are Viz, Tokyopop, and Del Rey, and just order it from their website. 10 bucks a manga isn't all that bad.

Dangit, for some reason I can't get to Google here at work! Anyway, the best place I found for import graphic novels was a small US branch of a Japanese bookstore...

KINOKUNIYA!

This store had aisles and AISLES devoted to imported manga! I remember walking through their store in San Francisco while on vacation and drooling over all the possibilities. I picked up Kimagure Orange Road Vol. 1 in Japanese and the second to last volume of Ranma 1/2! (Before it was all translated, which I believe it is now)

The best part is that they have a website with the SAME selection of imports at both Japanese yen AND American dollar prices. The selection is ASTOUNDING! I can't recommend them highly enough for imports.

The problem is that I'm having some net problems and couldn't find the website for you. If anyone can check it out and post the link to it, it would be much appreciated.

Kinokuniya (at least, the Manhattan branch) is grossly overpriced... I know it's foolish to not expect them to overcharge a little for importing, but when you see stuff like $5 for a $2 manga it's kinda ridiculous.
