Anime that makes you cry

I wonder if this has been done before. But I'm trying to make a point to my friend.
Do you cry watching some anime? What anime have made you cry? Do you think it's ok for guys to cry while watching anime?

I cried at the end of Gungrave. And the end of Lucky Star Vol. 1, but I think those were tears of joy...

It's perfectly alright for guys to cry, so long as the situation warrants it.

As I thought, the anime community has a completely different mentality towards emotions than "normal society". Except we tend to go a little overboard sometimes...

I've never cried right out during anime, I haven't really watched that many sad ones, however the closest I've come to it was during FMA.
