Computer games don't affect kids. I mean, if Pac Man affected us as kids, we'd all run around in a darkened room, munching pills, and listening to repetitive music~Kristian Wilson, CEO, Nintendo Gaming Corporation

SIGN ME UP DAMNIT
IF ONLY CHICAGO WOULD DO THE SAME...

[btw, UIC here actually has a professor that covers "Gender and Heroism in animation" as an excuse to play anime and have its stories and plots analyzed by her students...]

Alright, not to sound biased, or anything, but. . .

What the hell are you going to do in those classes??

I mean, I can understand the ones about the technical aspects if you wanted to make anime. But the other ones are just poor excuses for sitting in a class and watching it. There's really no need for a seperate class like that. What kind of credits would you get? Otaku credits?

I mean, any of those courses(not including the technical ones) could easily be added into socialogy or statistics somewhere. (well, maybe not so much stats ad Socialogy).

Here's one from the UofArizona:

They even showed AMVs in the course.

New York and Los Angeles, the twin pillars of American civilization!

If New York did it, my time is soon to come!

Otaku are cautioned against talking "from fan to fan" in this course, so initiates will not feel threatened.
....AS IF that's not going to happen!

Nice choice of anime titles, although I can't see Elf Princess Rane as a portrayal of masculinity.

And am I mistaken, or are they going to show one of your AMVs ?
