Re: The Maya Ibuki Award (Most Helpful Member)
hmm I've thought about this more, and pretty much missed the most helpfull member to me :3 I like S.A. Robert cause he really is everywhere, not just org, but on other sites too, and so I see that, in all his commenting, posting of contest, a lot more helpfull than a member who is just stationary on one site..
But then I thought about my Dany, and he'll prolly hate me for posting this all over O_O especially since its going to be a little sappy. But my vote goes for Overture.
He is by for the most helpfull member I know. I have asked many people to help me out with editing, from all AMVing communities and a lot of them just plainly turned me down (more than 90 percent). Why? I'm not really sure, I guess editing does have "groups" but Overture has always been there regardless of anything. Not just because we care a lot for each other, but because he knows I am, and will be a better editor some day. He spends countless hours viewing over all my work, my betas when no one else ever will. Not only that, but he really has helped me improve a lot with my editing. He has taught me how to upload amvs, how to use this site, and even how to "encode/script" footage so I can edit with it. So I can participate in MEPs with the right FPS.
And he's not just helpfull to me, he is helpfull to others too. I have never known a time he has turned anyone away via it be org, youtube, news for a help with an effect, program, or scripting issue, the site. He is by far the most helpfull member here, and he doesn't do it because he is an administrator/moderator, he does it because he wants to. He does it because he likes to.
He may not post all over the place, but he is probably one of the only members here that would never ever turn you away just because your a "new" editor, don't know much, weird username, come from a different country.
I vote for Overture
Edit: Wont go to his name for same weirdo reason :/
