However, the final round MUST utilize anime sources. There is no way around this.

Why do I have this strange feeling this is about to turn into Project PonyEditor?
The Birds are using humanity in order to throw something terrifying at this green pig. And then what happens to us all later, that’s simply not important to them…

So I noticed that it says live action/non anime is permitted except for the last round.
What about things such as kingdom hearts (3D animations based off anime)?

Org rules state it's an anime source, so it's fine...cassydiddles wrote:So I noticed that it says live action/non anime is permitted except for the last round.

So confident you'll get to the last round? :>

Games such as Kingdom Hearts, Final Fantasy or whatever that has their companies in Japan is permitted in the final round. Basically, if you can upload it to a-m-v.org, then you can edit with it in the final round.cassydiddles wrote:So I noticed that it says live action/non anime is permitted except for the last round.

But video game footage is allowed in the early rounds too.

Re: Project OrgEditor [Rules & F.A.Q] [Update]
This would make me sad. I liked seeing the variety of sources that we brought to the table last year. I'd hate to see this devolve into spitting out carbon copies of the latest craze.Otohiko wrote:Why do I have this strange feeling this is about to turn into Project PonyEditor?

Re: Project OrgEditor [Rules & F.A.Q] [Update]
I seriously doubt that it will be a problem. Last year, we had full access to live action footage, and we had MAYBE 2 or three videos in the entire competition that used them. Besides the fact that many rounds make it almost more difficult to use live action and/or non-anime footage.LantisEscudo wrote:This would make me sad. Granted, the pony craze is pretty big, but I don't think EVERYONE will edit with pony footage. But it'd certainly make me sad too. ;____;

Anyway, we're starting this puppy up very shortly. We're right at 40 entries, so the elimination schedules are looking pretty extreme in the first two rounds.
I also pray for our judge panel's sanity. XD
