AX2003 definitely rocked! :D The only thing that sucked is that I missed the AMV Contest..... :(

I just came back from California just over a day ago. I was at AX 2003. Compared to AX 2002, 2003 blew away the last AX easily. I spent lots of time at the dealer's room (there was a hell of a lot more room than the one last year in Long Beach), I saw the AX Idol contest (that was really exciting), the Voice Acting panel on Day 2 (funny, fun, and just awesome)...and I met a lot of people. I met Castor Troy and a few names he mentioned. I look forward to AX 2004, and I'm happy to say that it will be at the same location, too.

AX 2003 is defintely my favorite AX almost up there or even surpassing AX 2001 in my opinion.

Pros:
Water everywhere
Free parking (If you know the spots)
Good AMV Panel
Good Voice Acting Panel
Decently priced food
No Line for dealers room
Great AMV contest (this year's at least)
Justin Cook :)

Cons:
Hot Weather since it's not in long beach
LOOOONG pre-reg line (Remind me NEVER to go the day before again)
Ashton and I got screwed during AMV seating (only to get better seats thanks to Ikasu ^_^)
Smaller Room for amv contest (No more stadium seating like long beach) - About 3 times the length of Akon's room
Not enough to do in the day (Akon had voice acting panels every 20 minutes)
AMV panel only 1/4 of attendance than last year's packed room

Other than that, can't wait for AX2004! 8)

Where the heck do you get free parking (I understand, if you choose not to give it away)? Each day, we had to go park where it's $8.00.

The food was very good...at reasonable prices. I received easy access to Starbucks (four days of Venti Frappuccino...WOOOOO)...that was good, too. If I were to get to that VA panel sooner...or actually had more time over there, I would have had the opportunity to actually meet them.

Yes, thank God for no lines at the dealers' room. That was one big disappointment from AX 2002. Also, you bumped into everyone. This time around, you could move inside the room.

I liked AX a lot, its really the only con ive ever been to. Ive been going to Anime Expo since 2001, which isnt all that long. but i have to say that i liked every year i was there (except for the long lines last year at AX2002). my only problem with this years AX was the bad seating arrangment at the Masquerade ball, but that was easily fixed since a lot of ppl didnt show, so i just moved up.
