Cons on the coast?

Post by Yogurtron » Wed Aug 14, 2002 11:32 pm

As I look on the net, I see many of the best cons are much too far away for me to get to (on my budget anyway), including A-kon, AWA, Otakon, etc. What are the best cons on the west coast? I only know of a few, Anime-Expo, Ani-Magic, and Fanime. And with con-politics going the way they are, it might be difficult to go to AX and Fanime this next year.

So yes, as I was saying, what are some of the best cons on the west coast?

Hopefully AnimeExpo 2003 will be better, 2002 was a disappointment in geenral. Dont' know of any other good ones on the West coast, it seems there are more good ones this year on the East coast in my opinion so I can't help you out here....

Well, you've already mentioned Ani-Magic. That one's good. It's pretty much the only con I've been to (cos it's in the town I live in).

A bit more North in Seattle is Sakura Con. Definately worth going to now after there 5 years. Otherwise AX is pretty much the main one on the west coast that rocks.

SakuraCon was fun this year.

If Seattle isn't too far, I'd recommend it.
