Or something like that... Who is going to the convention in Ohio that's coming up in January! I am, it's the highlight of my whole college life so far. I think it's in Colombus or Dayton (not sure, I'm from NY), but a friend told me about it! Anybody know about it or going? Arigatou Gozaimasu! ^_________^

odd...they don't have the furry mascot from last year..now they have a power ranger type?
Since they'll be at a different hotel (the Hyatt this year) hopefully they won't have the god awful set up like last year with the video rooms, panels, and main events (a.k.a ear splitting kareoke) in the same block seperated by 2 inch thick psuedo-walls. >_<
The Hyatt is professional alright, I know of lots of major events that take place there, as it's attached to the Greater Columbus convention center. Been waiting 3 years now for this con to get it together..and last year should have been better than it was, IMO...maybe this will be the year?

Well it isn't power rangers per se. They are going to be showing some of the live action japanese shows that power rangers was based off of. Sentai, Kamen Rider, Ultraman are in the masked superhero team category. I think they are intending on showing stuff like Godzilla as well...... basically showing an anime crowd what other aspects of Japanese television is like.dji wrote:I want the furry mascot back.. power rangers suck.. except the pink one.. she was hot! =)

Sweet, it's at the Hyatt? That means the Short North and the Arena District, which means tons of great places to eat and drink, perhaps even more than the Easton area.
If there's any kind of group outing, Misty, I gotta recommend Barley's Brewpub (right across the street from the Convention Center), BD's Mongolian Barbecue as well as Ted's Montana Grill in the Arena District.
And yeah, I think I'll be doing Animation Hell again, if they'll have us...

There are two kinds of people in this world:
Those who divide people into two kinds of groups
and those who don't.
