So who's going to work off the new year hangover and make it to Columbus?
*cricket chirps*
Yeah yeah.... January in a state known for having lots of snow. Can always have a cosplay snowball fight I suppose.
I'm stuck though. I have to work so I'll be around and gradually becoming more sleep deprived as the weekend goes on. But its all in good fun.

The Toledo Anime Meetup crew's going
We're still trying to get the 10 people to commit for a group rate, but the Toledo Anime Meetup crew is planning on being there, with a massive Fruit's Basket cosplay contingent. Any recommendations on places to eat and shop in the area?

Actually one rather nice part of the location of the convention is that there is a rather nice and diverse food court on premesis where you can get your basic food needs. Particularly when dealing with the midwest january climate its nice to not have to go anywhere.
However if I recall if you want something a little more upscale and a sitdown place there are several within a few blocks. I don't recall exactly what because I am not a native of Columbus (I am near Madison, WI) but I do believe a staffer or two contributed some local eateries for the convention booklet.
Good luck getting your goup of 10. Just remember to pre-reg and pick up your badge on Thursday night. It saves you a lot of time waiting in line and lets you do whatever you want in the morning hours when not a ton is going on before opening ceremonies.
*debates if I should buy the plush goat for my Lavie costume for Ohayo....*

Hey sounds like a plan. I need someone to drag me away from working for a little bit. I won't be hard to miss with the bright red hair.
