Humber North
I would show up for the Anime Club meetings but:

1) They screwed up my email and thus send notices to thepuffytaro, rather than thepuffytaco@hotmail

2) I try to go to events but they get cancelled or moved to days I cannot attend. When Vampire Hunter D was going to be shown (On Wednesday) I was already to go when I found out that it was moved to Thursday, a day a couldn't attend.

I have offered the anime/cartoons I have but if I can't reach the organizers... there is nothing I can do.

Actually, I didn't. Felt a little under the weather.

You know, thats what those official Org con name tags are for.

go to the main member page, thre sould be a link called "badge", thats the official org name tag. You DL it, edit it with your name ad what not, and then print it off your self. I tried that, but my printer is bein g a pain in the ass so i went with out it.

As for your email you could just email Davona and give her your real email address. If you wan't i'll PM you with her and Alex's Email (Alex is kind of the VP).

Asfor teh con, well it was pretty cool i guess. It was my first con, i managed to find A few things i was looking for and a few things i wasn't. THough Volume 2 of the FLCL manga for $10 was probably the best buy i found, some guy was selling a bunch of manga for the US cover price.

I also met Otohiko and his brother Cless, so now i know they aren't just sophisticated chat programs. So 2 down ... another 50 000 to go.

After teh Con our anime club wen't out for sushi and we saw The Matrix revolutions in an Imax theater ... woah ... i really wish i had seen revolutions ...

Well i thought this was fun, I plan on going to CNAnime when it gets here (August i think) and because i'll beable to drive my ass there on my own it should be a bit better.

I recommend you go to Anime North as well, Propyro. I will definitely not miss going there, I'll tell you that.

Oh... I thought you ment CN had a badge... yeah AMV has a name tag you can wear, but seeing that I have yet to actually complete my first AMV I have been putting off wearing it. Which is funny because I wear my cosplay.com badge to both AN and CN this year and due to a sowing mishap, was unable to complete and compete with my costume.

Thanks,
I got your IM and I will email them!

Yeah,
its quite weird putting the text to the faces... I'm glad that you enjoyed yourself at the con. Many frown at the event that Hobbystar puts forth and in some respects I agree that it won't float everyone's boat. But I have gone for almost 10 years in a row, so that have to be doing something right.

Yeah CN is better for deals... I got 5 manga books 50% all, at one place. Plus there are more events. Msg me and I look for you at the convention!

Also,
take azulmagia's advice and try to attend AN. Make sure you pre-register because you will only pay $25 or so for the weekend rather than $40 at the door. Plus they have sweet deals for hotels that are extremely inexpensive (or you can sleep in the henti room!)

Thanks anyways for the help!

Something tells me I should consider AN as well.

Well, I have a whole group of con-goers from around here now, so hey - we might just miss that little con Hobbystar are putting on in march and save up for AN instead.

In any case... it seems like the numbers of attendees from the .org is growing - not bad.
The Birds are using humanity in order to throw something terrifying at this green pig. And then what happens to us all later, that’s simply not important to them…
