I know this has nothing to do with this dinner, but I know the cost for Otakonhas now been raised to $60. I've read some of the changes on the page, but I was wondering, what do this genrally cost at the convention? I mean stuff like manga, art, anime, dojunshi (however it's spelled), shwag, t-shirts, etc.
I just wanna make sure I have enough money to have a good time at the con since I am from B-more and it will be my first con.
Any pointers?

Mr. Grim is in NO way capable of gaining any where close to that number. Maybe 1/10th of that number lol. I have about 120$ saved up so I will just have to go with the essentials.
Kratos could totally beat up your dad. With his own limbs. Unless your dad is Voltron.

I'd say $400 is a bit liberal, but it depends on how much you expect to spend on merchandise. I haven't bought much at cons lately and make due fine with probably ~200, but this includes Hotel and whatnot. The vast majority is actually food.Mr. Grim wrote:GDA: Die a slow and miserable death.
Mroni: Thanks for the info but....WOW
400 monies. I have no job right now so that's a hard figure to come up with. Guess I better start saving right away. Any suggestion on how to get 400 buck in less than a month?
If you're flying in like me though, obviously the price goes up, but I have not included that in ~$200 you'll need for food, hotel, etc.
