I guess I hate to request this, but can we determine a time to meet? I am currently looking at flights and basing it on what time we shall be meeting. It is a big deal since a few of them are later in the afternoon and would require me not to take the entire day off .
I vote for 8-ish since the later the better for me.

Meet time will be 8:00 PM. That seems to work for everyone. That gives the most time for everyone to arrive and gives us a couple of hours at the restaurant.dwchang wrote:I guess I hate to request this, but can we determine a time to meet? By Monday I'll have the restaurant details and will start taking official RSVPs.

Means I can book my flight that comes in ~7:00 P.M. and be all square. Oh and I can take a half-day as opposed to the whole day.
I guess I should ask in private, but meh...Fluxy, when're you getting in so I know if we have a hotel by the time I'm in.

I wouldn't come in that late. The hotel is a good ways from the airport and landing and getting out of the airport are two totally different things.dwchang wrote:Awesome! Thanks!

Well if I come in around 7, I imagine I'd be out of the airport by around 7:20 - 7:30...how far away is it? Basically with the 7 arrival, I can leave around ~2 from Austin. The other flight is like leaving at 11 and comes in at 4 or something. That's too early for me to justify taking a half-day .Red Wolf wrote:I wouldn't come in that late. You wont be the only one in that early. I think Vlad is in at 4:30 or something like that.dwchang wrote:Well if I come in around 7, I imagine I'd be out of the airport by around 7:20 - 7:30...how far away is it? I haven't really been reading this thread very much, but has anything offical been carved into stone yet about time, place, amount of people, etc?

There is no direct shuttle (at least no free ones). Driving the hotel is about 30-45 minutes from the airport. I believe AWA is recommending MARTA since you can take a train directly from the airport and then a bus goes to within a block of the hotel.
