About the AMV creator seat reservations... Will those only be made for the creators themselves? If, perchance, I make the cut, I have a buddy coming from Georgia and I don't want to abandon her... XP I might end up sitting in the commoners seats!! Hohoho...

Usually they give you two seats, one for you, one for a guest. So you'll have someone to talk to, because us AMV people are anti-social by nature. (Grin)

Guests are welcome to the AMV party, when ever it is. Any clue when the AMV contest, and AMV panels will be?

There is a staff meeting this comming Saturday in which I hope to get a close to final AMV event schedule. We are haveing to move things around and make a few alteration due to changes in the equipment move in schedule.

Yes each AMV submitter will get two seats in the reserved seating area, although once the contest is about to start, if we have too many open spaces we may ask you to bunch up a bit to give other attendees a better look.

Things of notable change:
1. It is currently unknown if awards presentation will immediately follow the AMV contest or not. SInce we are doign ballot voteing we need time to count votes, although originally we were goign to show exhibition videos or semi-finalist videos durign the counting period, for sake of setup for cosplay this may not be possible and awards may be presented either just prior to opening of cosplay or during judgeig break of cosplay when we will show the winning videos to cosplay attendees.

2. We have officially recieved more videos than expected and it will be nessisary to remove soem videos from the competition and screening due to tiem constraints. It has always been my desire to show any video not makeing it to the final contest in the Semi-Finalist screeening, but it looks like there will not be enough tiem for it. THere will still be a Semi-finalist screening, but it will not include all of the rest of the submitted videos. I will try to get a list of which videos will be shown ASAP, but dont' yet have a time frame for when this will happen.

I do want to say that I greatly appriciate everyone who has submitted a video to the Fanime AMV contest and thank you personally for your support of this event.

Weee! I'm very excited, and I hope that I make the finals so much! (I'm bringing a group of friends large enough to make major sway in the volume of cheering in the viewing room garaunteed! ~_^) I really just want to make an honest showing at this contest, especially since this weekend will be the 1 year anniversary of my very first AMV! ^_^ Go me! ^_^

I just hope one of my videos gets shown. It would be nice to finally have one of my videos shown at a 'big' west coast convention.

Question. I think the awards at the break for the cosplay would be great. If that happens, is it possiable for AMV creators to get good seating for the cosplay. ;)

*winces at Scott's 2nd comment* Ouch. Mine was about 15 seconds over the time limit... I'll probably get kicked. -_- Oh well!

Amvs rule. They deserve all the time they need. XD

::hopes for his AMV to make the cut:: :P

Are we gonna get mailed on who made the cut? Or do we just wait for the website to announce semi-finalists?

Heh, I'll be at the staff meeting this Saturday as well. :P

There was no set time limit for any AMV
I was just hoping that ther would be enough time in the weekend to show every video we got.

If Awards do not imediately follow the Contest, the awards will be handed out just before the cosplay begins, then when the winners are shown during the break, those who came to see cosplay will see what videos wo the awards they were handed.

Cosplay seating is unfortunately out of my hands, I can try to make arrangements with the Cosplay staff, but I am uncertain what the result will be, mainly due to that we are uncertain how many AMV creators would want to stick around for cosplay and leave an empty seat up front.

I will make sure this works out somehow.

I hope to e-mail notices to all who have entered and had their vids approved soon, and I will try toget the message out also for the names of the people that made it to semi-finals and finals. List will probably be listed on the boards as well.

Also if you are plannig on comming to Fanime I will soon need to RSVP those who are comming so I can make the arrangements for enough seats.

Less than 3 weeks !!

Well I'll be there, and have 1 guest (my Anthy from New Jersey).

See if you can atleast get like seats for the winners, so that they can stay and watch the audience's reaction to their videos. For the award announcement, see if it's okay if we just stand along the wall somewhere.
