Nightowl wrote:Just so everyone knows, Quu is bringing the server. There will be a VCR and a region free DVD player as well. We're going to set it up in our room and we were going to have a little get together (this was my idea, not his). There will be alcohol, just so people know... but I'm hoping it will be a laid back party. Both Fri. and Sat. are open to me, but for anyone who wants to on Thurs., we will be there as well. Just thought I'd make the quick announcement. Later,

A little something on Thursday evening would be great. I'm not sure about the rest of the weekend. This is my first year helping out so I don't know what I'll be doing.

me and jbone should be there thurs night....we'd love to get togeather for a gathering....right jbone? Maybe we sould start compiling an email list or soemthing so that we don't have to check the org? Cause right now i am still confused...looks like stuff every night or something, but it seems nothing is set. I can bring my computer and a projector and have a amv dance party. Just need some stereo equip for the sound. If someone has a place to get together it i'd be glad to vj it.

I should be able to make Otakon this year! (^_^) I was debating on whether
I wanted to go or not, but since I made the voting, I gotta go now!

I'll see you all there (or maybe not depending on your l33t 5734L7h 5K1LLz!)

(^_^)

Oh, and Doki Doki, you should bring CDs of your stuff..

i think a saturday get together would be better for the majority of people, after the panel. i can and will be bringing my laptop, so we can watch digital amv on more than one computer. is anything official yet?

It would seem there are several parties being planned here @_@ Could make things confusing.

Scott invited a non-alcoholic party into his room. I assume it's Saturday after the amv panel? Or maybe later in the night.

I'm not quite sure the details. It's Scott's turf so, you set the rules Scott

What I will bring:

My cookies, two AWA tapesI have to show some older amv's some interesting sci-fi skits on them. Possibly people some of you might know. Corn Dog 7 and...I forget who else.

My measly 2 videos (one is a new one: Orange Road) that are worthy enough to show on VCD so I hope some one has a dvd player or computer.

I could bring some Excel-saga...all the way up to episode 27.

Other than that...no idea what to add. We should at least make a definite meeting place well before next Wednesday when people may be traveling.

And who all is planning on meeting for this? Speak up :)

Sorry you can't make it Phade, but is it ok if I make a button that says a-m-v.org to wear? I have no clue what you all look like and it'll make sorting through the masses easier if we can be identified.
Either that or I could make like the valet parking/taxi guys at the airport and just hold a sign and look pathetic ;)

Amv people should meet in the amv room, right? Although last time I remember it was dark and hard to find...downstairs and around the corner or somethin' ^^;.

Or outside near Burger King? Near the hobos perhaps... Or on the median strip on the road XD

Excel Saga has 27 episodes? Wow. I guess since episode 26 I was afraid of the whole thing I wasn't keeping up ^^;.

Dude! You know very well that I don't really exist, so I can't meet any of these people! :-D

Post by mckeed » Wed Jul 17, 2002 3:49 pm

Ok...here is the deal.......email me if you are going to be there so I don't have to browse through everyones profile to find that info. I'm going to pour through the posts when i get home and write down all the things going on and make a social callender for everybody so we all know what is going on. If you know you hosting something, please email me as well with the details so I can have the most accurate information. When it is done i'll post on the forum, or my website, so i can update it easier, when its done...probally by tomarrow.

my email is mckeen@alum.rpi.edu

I think it would be a good idea to ware a-m-v.org badges.....there was one premade on the site.....just need to add your handle.
