Trailers / Commercials Wanted for Convention!

Post by VegettoEX » Fri Aug 01, 2003 10:42 am

I'm currently talking with Eugene Cheng, the chair of AnimeNEXT, about getting some fan parodies / AMV projects / trailers played during some video spots. So far, it's looking pretty good!

Here's what I'm looking for:

Want your trailer / AMV project played at a convention in front of a nice crowd? GOOD! Send me a high-quality MPEG-2... NOW! The convention's not until October, but I'll obviously need time to get everything exported nicely ^^

If you have a trailer you would like played, I'd prefer an MPEG-2 of it, since all the trailers will probably be played back-to-back in the same sitting. Don't just give me your online distro version... gimme an MPEG-2 master.

E-mail: VegettoEX@aol.com with the subject AnimeNextTrailers.

Have an AMV project? I'm mainly looking for the two M:Is and Jet Set... MPEG-2 masters, or SVHS/DVD masters. I'd probably prefer MPEG-2s of these, as well. I don't just want MPEG-2s made from the distro versions... gimme the masters :D.

E-mail: VegettoEX@aol.com with the subject AnimeNextProjects.

I've got DDR1 (SVHS) and DDR2 (DVD) that we could play... any objections, Hsien?

If you're going to be sending me MPEG-2s, make sure they're either 29.97 fps interlaced, or progressive with a 3:2 playback option. This is all going to be standard NTSC playback.

Please note: We don't want anything potentially offensive, so keep the content at a reasonable level :P. Also, send us your best work... not the trailer that you made on a whim just to be dumb... you want people to get the best impression they can, right? :D

Given AnimeNEXT is after AWA, you might be able to talk to Fluxy and see about getting a copy of the NES Project to show...

I'm working on one but I probably won't have it finished for another month or so. Is there an official deadline?

There's no official deadline YET, per say, but it's something I'd like to get done sooner than later. Handling the contest is going to be a fun time (in that it'll be lots of "fun" work :P), so I'd like to have everything ready to go as soon as I can get it done.

NES project... yay~~... that can definitely be something.

Okay, I'll put all my current emphasis on the trailer and try and get it done soon. Btw, if you didn't read my post earlier, I sent in myself and Anneke's entries today. ^^

Yes Yes! The more cons we infect with NES, the better. 8)

There's 3 Strategicons (video game/anime con) that happen here in LA in the fall/spring/summer that the NES project would fit PERFECTLY in..

If we send it there, me and the other CA based amv editors can watch it 3 times!

It's a longshot but maybe we can also get E3 to show it.... (probably never in a million years)

I dunno, if we tip off EGM about it, maybe they will help us out. 8)
