Sci-fi / anime convention in Finland!

I was on the fincon in finland åbo/turku.. And i was just wondering if someone from here was there? there were a promotion of AMW there and they showed 4-5 vids there.. so please if there is any finnish people here or other people that were on the convention.. let me know!

And Janzki I just want to say that it was one of the better events on the convention and as you probably noticed the peeps loved it..

awesome, I was quite surprised when I read about this con. in all the time I spent in Norway, I never once met another anime fan, that wasn't also a foreigner like I was. ^_^

I'm sorry to say that I've never been to Finland myself, but perhaps one year I can make it over for this con. hm...was it necessary to understand Finnish at the con? I may be borderline ok in Norwegian, but I've never studied any Finnish at all. ^_^

As you can see, most of the program was indeed in Finnish. But there were some presentations in English too. All in all the con was a success and the number of visitors was much higher than expected. If I recall correctly, the next Animecon is supposed to be held in Jyväskylä in June 2004.

I didn't recall correctly: it's supposed to be in July.
