Anime Expo 2004 AMV Gathering
Ok guys, I'm back home and I got around to tracking down a restaurant for us. So here is the info as follows.
Name: Buca di Beppo
Style: Italian
Location: Garden Grove
Drive Time: 3 minutes
Price: $10-$20 range
Day: Thursday, July 1st (the day before the convention)
Time: 7:00 pm
Please note that Buca di Beppo serves LARGE family style portions so plan to share with people, a large order of Spagetti is $14 and serves at LEAST 4 people with a decent appetite. I hope that this should hold everyone's budget properly. The place has seperate rooms throughout so getting our own room for our large party shouldn't be too difficult at all (a screen is impossible though so if you want to watch videos bring a laptop).
Noting the distance, we will need to shuttle people so I need some volunteers as drivers, I can be one of them and if necessary I guess we could make multiple trips.
Ok, so there's the info. Later tonight I will post the list of confirmed attendees to the AMV gathering, if your name is not on that list then please reply to me with the number of guests you will be bringing.
Regarding the incadent last year, I will be holding people's AX badge or driver's license UNTIL THEY PAY! We were short by about $80 last year and I'd like to avert that incadent happening again. Sorry for the delay in getting this running, hopefully a month and a half is enough time for people to tell me if they can come. I will be making the reservation this Sunday which gives four days but I might extend that due to the late notice.
Thanks, hope to see you there.

Count me, Ikasu, and NeoHentaiMaster in. Since this is being held the day before the con, no surprise anime industry guests will be with me this time
I assume the majority of us won't be getting our badges till the day after. I'm not sure I'll be getting a volunteer badge for running the NES Project panel the next day but I'm definitely ok with you handling driver's licenses.
I'll try to bring a laptop again like last year.... this time with a good pair of speakrers and hopefully there will be a power outlet where I'm sitting.

Ok, so everyone meet at 6:30 in the Hilton lobby, with this many cars I think we might be able to do this all in two trips back and forth which isn't so bad thankfully. I'll bring a few printouts of directions with me to the meeting to hand out to the drivers so no one gets lost. As it stands, this is how things look and how the reservation is going. I'm making it tommorow afternoon so if you haven't signed up by now, you run the risk of not being able to come because I'm not sure for how long the restaurant will allow me to modify the reservation till. I'll post a reminder for teh gathering a few days before AX to remind everyone. Thankls all, glad we could get this running again.A

Man, I'd love to go, but I'm not sure when my flight gets in...and I think I'm a little late anyway. But it'd be cool to meet some of the people that are here at the .org. Aw well, if it's running again next year I'll definity be in the AMV contest and I'll chill with you guys then.
Maybe I'll see you guys around...but then I won't even know it's one of you guys sooooo...<.<'
Late

You may make it in 1 trip...if...
People with multiple guests find their own transportation. Which usually if there is that many people, one of them has a car.
Peter Stoll + 5 guests
Qui Nguyen + 2 guests
ProphetDK + 2 guests
These are ones I don't know about and most likely need a lift:
Philip Long
Ikasu
NeoHentaiMaster
Shenotski
Scott Grasso
Joey Grasso
Todd Gianini
David Seapy
James Bell
Tommy Rude
Stephen Cilley
These two I believe are local, and should have a car of their own.
Brad Demoss
Nic Niedenbach
Drivers , with space after themselves, and their own guests:
Sean Thordsen - 1 passengers
Donna Hutt - 4 passengers
Castor - 1-4 passengers
Eric Weiner - 5 passengers
So looks like things will work out. (I took my name off the list, because I can/will be driving myself and my guest from another location)

Ikasu and NeoHentaiMaster are local as well and they ride together. They may have room for 2-3 other people but knowing them, they'll probably just arrive at the restaurant without arriving prior to the con but I'll try to get them to come to the con first.
