Dragon Con 2005

Post by SamKat » Tue Aug 02, 2005 9:19 pm

Hey all, now I know what your thinking but hear me out. Dragon Con is the largest RPG, Sci-Fi, Fanticy, and Anime Convention in the US. That's right they have anime at this Con. They bring voice actor/actress from your favorite anime shows, trailers and sneek peeks of new shows that are going to be aired on Adult Swim and Anime Network, moives, and a whole lot more.

Here is the website if your guys are intrested of going. Hope to see you there.

OK, no, it totally isn't. D*C is at the beginning of the month, AWA is near the end.

We'd have to be completely stupid to schedule AWA the same weekend as D*C, considering that we don't play anywhere near that scale, and D*C would probably take 3/4 of our audience away.
Als Gregor Samsa eines Morgens aus unruhigen Träumen erwachte, fand er sich in seinem Bett zu einem ungeheueren Ungeziefer verwandelt.

Oops, my bad. I just remember Snackpants saying he wasn't going to go to AWA this year because of D*C and I thought he said it was because they were the same weekend. I've been having brain farts all week though.

D*C blows......... Never EVER again will I spend that level of money to become the human cheese in some galactic Grilled sandwitch. :x
And last time I went the only rooms sans airconditioning were the Anime Closet (or so it seemed it was so small, with its 13" TV and mono sound) and the Dealers room where I worked. i did however manage to get a Starbuck's cup signed by Dirk Benedict!

Definately save up your money and go a little later in the month to AWA, SamKat.
Dragon*Con 2001 was fun, but way too big and lacks what you really want from anime. It's the largest sci-fi convention in the country. While there's nothing wrong with liking sci-fi, most sci-fi fans are actually drunken single hairy men. No offense, of course to the hairy men.

It's just that when the convention spans two buildings and is still packed tighter than sardines in a can, you know there's a problem. And that was in 2001. It gets bigger every year. I shudder to think where it's at now.
